The 1899 Inn is located in one of the central neighborhoods of Deadwood, a historic gold rush town in the northern Black Hills. Known for Mount Rushmore National Memorial, the Black Hills are home to a number of other national parks, monuments, and other sites. Deadwood is central to many of these attractions. 

Mount Rushmore National Memorial is approximately one hour south on U.S. 385. 

Crazy Horse Memorial and Custer State Park are approximately an hour and 15 minutes south on U.S. 385.

Wind Cave National Park and Jewel Cave National Monument are about an hour and a half south on U.S. 385.

Badlands National Park and Minuteman Missile National Historic Site are about an hour and a half southeast via Interstate 90. 

Devils Tower National Monument is approximately an hour and 20 minutes northwest via Interstate 90. 

Bear Butte State Park is about 30 minutes northeast on U.S. 14A.
