A Wild Bill Time in Deadwood!
When visitors come to Deadwood they are typically looking for a taste of history. Of course there are always the excellent museums, saloons, and the world-famous cemetery where Wild Bill, Calamity Jane, Potato Creek Johnny, Dora Dufran (and her parrot Fred) and Preacher Smith are all embedded for eternity. But if you’re looking for a really good time visiting during one of Deadwood’s special events is a real treat!
Wild Bill Days is always held during June and you are sure to find some of the best names in Country Music performing for FREE on Deadwood’s Main Street. This year is no exception. Our good friend Aaron Tippen will take the stage on Friday night. He is an amazing guy! He has had three number on hits! "There Ain't Nothin' Wrong with the Radio" (1992), "That's as Close as I'll Get to Loving You" (1995), and "Kiss This" (2000). You can bet he’ll be belting these! And, on Saturday night you’ll find Pam Tillis who has earned nearly 20 Top 10 and six No. 1 singles. She has won three Country Music Association Awards — including the coveted Female Vocalist of the Year in 1994 — and two Grammys. And these concerts are all FREE!
