Men's Journal Gives Us A Shout-Out

We’ve had a lot of little mentions in major magazines lately, and the shout-outs just keep rolling in. This time we got namechecked in an article on the Men’s Journal website about awesome places to take the family for a fall getaway. They picked 16 places, including Vermont, Zambia, Alaska, Hawaii… and the Black Hills.

George, Tom, Teddy, and Abe are pretty resplendent in the fall.

The mag made some great suggestions for things to do, including Rushmore Cave and the 1880 Train, before suggesting the 1899 Inn for a place to chill out for the night. They specifically mentioned our breakfasts, which are, in fact, pretty dream-worthy, thanks to Laura’s house-made, Old World-style sourdough bread, which she bakes daily in the summer and fall.

Great. Now we’re hungry.

So thanks, Men’s Journal! We’re happy to have you at the breakfast table anytime you want to roll back in to Deadwood.
