Roses in Bloom

The new rose plants in front of the house are starting to bloom! Other summer flowers are kicking into gear, too: the wild daisies are at their peak, and so are the daylilies and coneflowers. Speaking of coneflowers, you're apt to see some blooming wild in the Black Hills. Their yellow and orange blooms contrast pretty starkly with the white and purple clover flowers that are practically carpeting the forest floor right now.
